Bawah Reserve Unveils Aura Wellbeing Sanctuary

Bawah Reserve (Anambas Archipelago, Indonesia) announced the launch of its expanded Aura Wellbeing Sanctuary, a new space designed to optimize health, relaxation, and vitality. Hidden within the island’s lush jungle, within the Aura Spa, this new retreat space offers an immersive contrast therapy experience, featuring a traditional red salt sauna, steam room, polar room, and ice plunge pool.

Hot: The Sauna and The Steam Room
With temperatures ranging from 62°C for aromatherapy sessions to 82°C for traditional sauna experiences, the sauna promotes detoxification through deep perspiration that flushes out toxins while stimulating circulation. Red salt sauna sessions are also meant to enhance cardiovascular health by improving blood flow and oxygen delivery throughout the body under extreme heat. The warm, moist air helps to open pores, purify the skin, and support the respiratory system by relieving congestion.

Cold: The Polar Room and The Ice Plunge Pool
At 16°C, the Polar Room invigorates the senses and stimulates circulation after a warm sauna or steam session. The sudden temperature shift helps improve skintone, boost elasticity, and awaken the body's natural defense mechanisms, leaving guests feeling refreshed and energized. Meanwhile, maintained at 12°C, the Ice Plunge Pool offers a powerful cold immersion experience that soothes sore muscles, reduces inflammation, and accelerates recovery after physical activity.
