Origins Lodge (Costa Rica) introduced the new rejuvenating Tii Cacao Body Treatment, which is available at the Lake Tii Spa Suite. The new Tii Cacao Body Treatment utilizes cacao beans, which grow on property at Origins Lodge, and have been considered sacred by the indigenous people of Costa Rica. The full-body Tii Cacao Body Treatment begins with a hot ceremonial cacao beverage to cleanse the chakras and let the energy flow. The spa therapist then creates a scrub with cacao and organic coffee to apply to the body for 20 minutes to aid in removing toxins from the body. After a shower to remove the scrub, the body in covered in volcanic clay and anisillo leaves and left to dry. Once the clay is removed, the body is moisturized with a luxurious cacao and coffee lotion. The treatment lasts a total of 90 minutes and a soothing massage is available as an additional add-on. “With a strong focus on cultivating the health of our guests, we are excited to continue to expand our wellness treatment and therapy offerings to create an all-encompassing experience designed to heal the mind, body, and soul,” says Claudia Silva, general manager of Origins Lodge.
