Rio Perdido Unveils New Spa and Wellness Facilities

Rio Perdido (Costa Rica) recently unveiled its expanded spa and wellness offerings. Nestled across a suspension bridge within the property's 1,500-acre private reserve, the newly reimagined Spa & Wellness Center invites guests to surrender to the healing rhythms of the earth. Crafted with reclaimed wood and regionally sourced materials, the open-air treatment rooms blend seamlessly into the dwarf forest, offering a serene backdrop. The treatment menu features locally made organic Biosfera products, enriched by Costa Rica’s thermal waters, volcanic muds, and native botanicals. Signature rituals now include a Hot Stone Massage and Deep Cleansing Facial, both utilizing volcanic clay sourced from nearby Miravalles Volcano.

The new yoga shala offers panoramic views of the surrounding forest and healing river below. Designed to host up to 20 guests, the space is a haven for Hatha yoga, sound therapy, Reiki, and meditation sessions. In addition to bespoke massages and facials, guests may indulge in volcanic mud body-painting rituals, mindfulness meditation, Earthing sessions, and restorative yoga. Custom wellness packages can be curated to combine these elements based on individual needs and preferences.

Rio Perdido is also a venue for transformative retreats. This includes a dedicated retreat space that holds up to 20 guests, new and dedicated Jungle Shala yoga studio (available for private use for groups), openair cliffside yoga pods, and private forest bungalows, making it an ideal destination for wellness getaways.
