Aman recently debuted its third resort in Japan with the launch of Aman Kyoto, which is located in a hidden garden near Kinkaku-ji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion. Inspired by the country’s ryokan and onsen concepts, the resort draws on the mineral-rich water that flows throughout the property.
The Aman Spa features traditional onsen bathing facilities, both indoor and open-air; three private treatment suites; and a relaxing spa lounge. It offers a range of treatments that tap into Japan’s local healing ingredients, such as Kyoto green tea, tanba kuromame black beans, local sake, and cold-pressed camellia oil. Guests can also enjoy yoga and mindfulness sessions in the idyllic garden.
