The Landings Resort and Spa Debuts Oncology Aesthetics Program

The Landings Resort and Spa, St. Lucia, has announced the launch of its Oncology Aesthetics Program, becoming the first spa in the Caribbean and the fourth in the Americas to partner with Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation and offer specialized aesthetic skincare treatments for individuals undergoing oncology therapy. This advancement has been made possible through the non-profit’s dedication to expert-led education programs for spa professionals navigating the complexities of cancer through specialized oncology skin and hair care solutions. Following a thorough in-person training, beginning this month, the 7,000-square-foot spa will offer tailored spa treatments for visitors currently being treated for cancer as well as those in remission or post-treatment.

The Landings Resort and Spa’s new program aims to redefine the limited number of spas offering tailored services to the millions of people battling cancer each year. Addressing this demand, all services are performed by the resort’s team of therapists who possess the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively modify the safest and most nurturing treatments for guests at any stage of their cancer journey. “Our mission is to create a sanctuary where individuals affected by cancer receive personalized care that nurtures both their physical and emotional wellbeing,” says Marjorie Knowles, spa director at The Landings Resort and Spa. “We are incredibly proud that our team of therapists is uniquely qualified to deliver treatments that not only rejuvenate the skin but also uplift the spirit. This ongoing commitment, in partnership with the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation, ensures our therapists remain at the forefront of oncology aesthetics through continuous training and education.”

The spa’s treatments offered for this program include Pre or Post Radiation Comfort skin treatment, Soothing Scalp experience, Restore and Replenish Body Hydration and more. Used effectively across hospitals in Spain over the last four years, all treatments utilize products from Barcelona-based luxury skincare brand Natura Bissé. With new research leading doctors to encourage the benefits of spa services from the emotional rejuvenation of a massage to facials that rebuild the skin barrier broken down during radiation, the program applies evidence-based practices that support both physical healing and mental wellbeing.
