Dyson recently introduced special-edition haircare devices in Strawberry Bronze and Blush Pink, inspired this year by the Dyson strawberry produced in the company's farms in the UK. Every year, Dyson launches a special-edition range for the gifting season.
A few key insights below on how these colors were chosen:
- For 2024, as Dyson announces its research expansion into ingredient science with the launch of their first formulations, the team visited the Dyson Farming sites nestled deep in the British countryside to explore the pigments of the high- quality, nutritious ingredients that are grown there.
- 1,225,000 strawberry plants are produced by Dyson each year. These are grown through all seasons, thanks to a 15-acre glasshouse facility.
- The final chosen pigment was the result of this exploration. From a single strawberry came a magnitude of hues, all brought together to create a complex shade of pink, tinged with hints of red, peach, and orange.
- Taking further inspiration from nature, the hints of blue which shade the buttons are a nod toward uncut sapphires, giving contrast to the pink and highlighting these key parts of the technology.
