Be+Well New York Classes:
The Neuro-Sensory Facial: Rewire the Nervous System & Rejuvenate the Skin
The New Spa Reality: Serving Clients with Chronic Illness, Stress, and Recovery Needs
What makes you passionate about your class topics?
I’m passionate about class topics that help professionals think differently about their work. To me, it is not just what they do, but how it’s experienced. My focus is on education that supports real-world practice: improving results, protecting practitioner longevity, and deepening the client experience. When learning feels applicable, human, and empowering, it creates lasting impact. That’s what really excites me most as an educator.
If you could attend one class at Be+Well New York (besides yours), which would it be and why?
That’s a tough choice, because I’m a perpetual student and deeply value learning from my amazing and dynamic peers. I’d love to attend classes led by Monique Blake, Ella Cressman, and Charmaine Cooper. Each brings a distinct voice and invaluable depth of knowledge to our industry.
What brands are you most interested in checking out on the Be+Well New York show floor?
The show floor always feels a bit like a reunion for me because many longtime friends and colleagues now work within the brands exhibiting, so it’s a joy to reconnect and also build new relationships. I’m especially interested in experiencing how wellness technology continues to evolve, as innovation in this space is moving incredibly fast and shaping the future of care.
I’m also looking forward to peeking in on brands I’ve long admired and trusted, including Circadia, FarmHouse Fresh, Skin Script, and Hale & Hush, as well as seeing what’s new and noteworthy at the Waxness booth.
What’s a new skill or topic you want to learn or perfect this year?
I am focused on translating what longevity and cellular science are revealing into practical applications for estheticians and wellness practitioners. With the nervous system now firmly on the global wellness agenda, I want to understand how this research is being applied across disciplines and help professionals integrate it thoughtfully into their work so they can continue to evolve with the industry.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Do not rush the very things that time is meant to teach. There is still value in taking your time and trusting your path, especially in an era driven by instant gratification and a microwave mentality of success. Many aspects of this profession require patience, diligence, and refinement, and that depth is what ultimately creates credibility and longevity.
For readers who have never attended an industry trade show, what’s the number one reason they should attend?
Perspective. Trade shows give you space to step back from day-to-day responsibilities and see the industry more clearly. They offer exposure to new ideas, emerging innovations, and conversations that help you understand where the field is heading and how you can continue to grow within it.
Why should attendees take a conference class?
Conference classes provide context and clarity that go beyond information alone. A strong class helps attendees connect research, technique, and experience in a way that feels relevant and immediately applicable, supporting both professional growth and long-term success.
