Peloton introduced kettlebell training to its platform and is now available across the Peloton App and the Strength+ App. On the Peloton App, kettlebell classes incorporate ballistic movements and traditional strength exercises led by Peloton Instructors, including Jess Sims, Andy Speer, Katie Wang, Logan Aldridge, Rebecca Kennedy, Jermaine Johnson, Joslyn Thompson Rule, and Assal Arian.
Class types include:
- Kettlebell Strength: 80% strength moves and 20% ballistic moves. These classes incorporate ballistic movements during transitions between heavy lifts.
- Kettlebell Conditioning: 60% ballistic moves and a 40% mix of bodyweight moves and high rep/low weight strength moves. These classes improve cardiovascular health and strengthen functional mobility.
- Kettlebell Strength & Conditioning: These hybrid classes feature a 50/50 split of the two styles of training above.
- Kettlebell Basics: Classes breakdown fundamentals of certain movements or techniques.
In the U.S., the kettlebell program is also available on Peloton’s new Strength+ App, featuring Guest Instructor Dre Mayes. A former D1 football player and NASM CPT who brings an exciting approach to Strength training, Dre designed a two-week Kettlebell program in collaboration with Jess Sims to guide Members through an immersive experience on Strength+. The Strength+ App offers an efficient and tailored way to have more flexibility in gym-centric workouts, with custom workouts tailored to individual goals, preferences, and available equipment and multi-week, Instructor-led workout programs.
